What is a WFR?

WFR's in action

Preparing for the worst

For those of you wondering exactly what a WFR (“Woofer”)  is and why I love them and we need them, this should give you some context. It’s an article from the Journal of Emergency Medical Services on exactly why WFR’s rock, and why, when the world falls apart, we’ll be the ones putting it back together.

Enjoy!

We are proud to welcome our two newest members to the RescueNet US team.

Chile – offline

March 3rd, 2010 Posted by dave

After much prayer and research RescueNet will not be deploying to Chile. Their main needs now seem to be security, heavy search and rescue, shelter and water. None of those are our specialties.

Thank you for your queries and support. Please continue to pray for the people of Chile. They have a long road ahead.

Chile Update

Chile is asking for international aid. We
are in touch with our national office in Chile to see what the real need is
and if we can help. Please pray.

Chile update

February 28th, 2010 Posted by dave

Due to the surprisingly low number of casualties and the fact that they are not calling for international aid, RescueNet is not planning a deployment to Chile.

Please keep them in your prayers as rioting and looting have already begun.

Blessings,
Dave

RescueNet on “The Doctors”

February 18th, 2010 Posted by dave

Greetings again friends and supporters,

During our time in Haiti our team happened to work alongside the doctors from the US medical show “The Doctors.”  They were impressed with our work and invited one of our team members to join them in taping one of their episodes. It’s a short clip, but shows RescueNet in a good light on national television.

Of course this is never our goal and we never seek the spotlight preferring to work in the areas often overlooked by most responders and the media, but when a commendation seeks us out we are happy to receive it and thank God we were able to be recognized for doing a good job in the task He called us to.
